Do not buy Cloud unless you can afford to replace them much more often than the more durable Classic. They photos below show the torn Cloud, and the much less worn sole of the Classic. Want your Classic Sandals with pillow-top comfort Introducing our travel-ready Z/Cloud series, featuring our same custom adjustable strap system, performance ChacoGrip rubber outsole, and a top layer of ultra-soft PU for instant-cushion underfoot. Also, I notice that the sole wore much more poorly than the sole of my Chaco Classics that I bought at the exact same time as the Cloud. I do not recommend the Chaco Cloud! Not durable, and too expensive to be tossed after moderate wear. Although the webbing was in fine condition, these were trashed and had to be thrown away. It tore right along the strap that is embedded in the sole. The sole of this pair, less than 3 years old (I have several other sandals so wore them only a few times a week for 6 months a year) completely ripped in 1/2 one day when I caught the toe on the curb as I was stepping down. The Cloud were comfortable, and I enjoyed the more cushy sole, but they do not wear nearly as well as the classic, which I have typically worn for 6 or 7 years each. All but this pair, Z/Cloud, had been the Chaco classic model. I have had 7 pair of Chaco sandals over 12 years. I hope Chacos keeps the style and comfort for a long time, and only offers different strap colors and patterns over the years. I rarely take the time to write reviews, but I love these sandals so much. I ordered the black/white pair which will go with a lot of my clothes, and actually look a bit "dressy" - for my style anyway -) I am back on the Zappos website to see what other colors the zCloud come in. Those were the only sandals I have ever been able to feel secure and supported when hiking. They are at least 10 years old and I used these for I wore kayaking and sometimes hiking and loved those, but not more than my Birkenstocks. I have an old pair of Chacos-same strap style but without the cloud layer. I love the adjustable straps, the way the footbed fits my arch, the firm but flexible sole that conforms to my foot when walking. I practically live in Birkenstocks (with the extra cushion layer) year round and after yesterday, I felt like I could replace the Birkenstocks with these Chacos except in winter when I need to wear socks in our northern climate. ![]() I'm recovering from Achilles tendon issues so I'm pretty careful what I wear (always wear shoes or sandals with good support, anyway.) I wore these all day the first day they arrived, and the "cloud" layer feel extraordinarily wonderful. ![]() ![]() I usually wear a 10.5 (or larger when I need to put an orthotic in my shoe). Explore in Teva Search Within Women Search Taffyta is later seen at the Random Roster Race and is in second place, behind King Candy and ahead of Candlehead and Rancis Fluggerbutter. Ralph comes and sees this and, even though Vanellope had stolen his medal but was unable to stand Taffyta bullying her, he chases Taffyta and the other racers away. In an attempt to make her stop, Vanellope pulls Taffyta away from the kart, but this angers her to the point she jabs her and pushes her into a mud puddle. The other racers join Taffyta in destroying the kart as well. Vanellope refuses, and Taffyta begins to destroy her kart. Taffyta and the other racers arrive at the junkyard and command Vanellope to drop out, as King Candy told her glitches are unable to race. Vanellope heads to the junkyard, where she puts the finishing touches on her makeshift, peddle-powered kart. When Taffyta notices this, she puts it into her own hands to prevent the glitch from racing. King Candy orders his security team, Wynnchel and Duncan, to capture her, but Ralph's accidental interference allows Vanellope to escape. Suddenly, Vanellope, in disguise, uses a gold medal from a game-jumping video game villain named Wreck-It Ralph to get herself into the race. Being the second most successful racer in the game, Taffyta deposits her coin after King Candy. The first racers across the finish line in the race will represent Sugar Rush as the following day's avatars. Taffyta arriving at the opening ceremony for the Random Roster Race.Īfter a grand day of racing, the arcade closes and the racers of Sugar Rush prepare to pay their fee (one gold coin) to race in the daily Random Roster Race. She tops her outfit off with white racing gloves. ![]() ![]() Underneath her hot pink racing jacket, she wears a lighter frosted pink dress and white-and-pink-striped leggings with matching sneakers. She wears a frosted magenta strawberry-themed cap (resembling that of Strawberry Shortcake's, who is possibly the inspiration for her design) or helmet on her head that doubles as a visor when she's racing. Taffyta's ensemble is almost entirely comprised of shades of pink. She is almost always seen sucking on a strawberry lollipop. She has dark thick upper and lower lashes that are varnished in mascara. Her deep periwinkle eyes are large and animesque. She has a small rosy jellybean-like nose. She has tan skin, rosy cheeks, glossy pink lips, and short platinum lightly blonde hair in a bob-cut with low front bangs covering her dark brown eyebrows. Taffyta is a small girl with Chibi-like proportions: she has a large head with a small body. She appears envious of Vanellope's position as the most popular racer, yet she does not let her jealously get the best of her and instead treats Vanellope like an equal than she was unable to do before. In the tie-in book, One Sweet Race, which takes place after the movie, Taffyta still apparently enjoys teasing others, which hints that she is just programmed to be arrogant.īy the time of Ralph Breaks the Internet six years later, Taffyta is openly mocking and hostile towards Vanellope as a result of their competitive roles, but is now unable to act against her, thus being more of a competitive rival than a bully to Vanellope, like she used to be. Taffyta is also very dramatic in her emotions, especially in fear, sadness, or anger she is prone to wailing and bursting into tears whenever she is upset. She shows that despite her attitude, she is mature enough to admit her mistakes. Being unquestionably loyal to King Candy, Taffyta takes it upon herself to stop Vanellope from racing, and even influences the other racers to join her endeavors, bullying Vanellope in a truly cruel and abusive manner as she was manipulated by him.Īt the end of the movie, when Vanellope is revealed to be the rightful ruler of Sugar Rush, Taffyta is truly remorseful and immediately apologizes for her actions. Taffyta's most frequent target for bullying is Vanellope, whom she believes is a glitch capable of getting this game unplugged. She tends to be bossy and somewhat crass to her competitors, likely because she does not see them as her equals. Taffyta is also quite charismatic and can put on quite a charming front she is evidently popular and the leader of the group of Sugar Rush racers, with Candlehead and Rancis Fluggerbutter being her closest friends. Due to her accomplishments, her ego and confidence have inflated and made her arrogant and cocky. Taffyta Muttonfudge is a skilled racer from the game Sugar Rush, where she is known to be second only to King Candy, whom she admires and respects. For a few articles here and there, Print to PDF or saving the HTML like you said would probably suffice (and not eat up a staggering amount of memory while it does it). It'd probably just be a few articles here and there. I also wouldn't want to read "everything" on the go. The only big problem I have is that Calibre takes up a good 600 megs of ram for some reason on my computer. So rather then manually saving, converting, and transferring each article to the Kobo manually, you get a RSS feed type thing that is automated. But after some thinking, I believe the advantage of this system is you can use the Calibre fetch news function to automatically aggregate all the individual pages you 'bookmark'. I was thinking the same thing when I read this post. If you just saved in HTML and then converted to EPUB, the result would be much nicer than the PDF conversion. |
